Jean Lazare Amani’s future is set to be decided in the closing stages of the summer transfer window, with Hull City and Monza both positioning themselves to secure his signature.

The 27-year-old midfielder, currently at Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium, has fallen out of favour at the club but continues to command significant interest across Europe and beyond.

His situation has made him one of the most talked-about names in the final stretch of the market, as clubs look to offer him the platform to revive his career.

Amani had recently been linked with a move to FC Baniyas in the United Arab Emirates, yet attention has now shifted to opportunities in Europe. Championship side Hull City in England and Italian outfit Monza, who play in Serie B, are understood to be monitoring developments closely.

Both clubs view Amani as a player capable of adding immediate strength to their midfield options.

Discussions are expected to begin imminently and could progress quickly, with a deal possible before the transfer window closes. Sources suggest that only a sudden change of circumstances could prevent the midfielder from securing a new club in the coming days.

The Ivorian international is no stranger to transfer interest. Turkish clubs Kasimpasa and Kocaelispor, as well as Portuguese side Estoril — where Amani previously played — had also explored the possibility of signing him earlier this summer. However, none of those approaches materialised into a final agreement, leaving the door open for Hull and Monza to step forward.

For Amani, a move away from Union Saint-Gilloise could represent an important turning point. At 27, he is entering the prime years of his career and will be eager to re-establish himself after a difficult spell in Belgium.

Both Hull City and Monza offer competitive environments where he would be tasked with playing a central role, potentially giving him the stage to rediscover his form.

Union Saint-Gilloise, meanwhile, appear open to parting ways with the midfielder, as he no longer figures prominently in the club’s long-term plans.

That stance has made negotiations more straightforward for potential suitors and increased the likelihood of a deal being struck quickly.

Amani’s technical ability and versatility in midfield have long been admired by scouts, and his availability so late in the window presents an attractive opportunity.

For Hull, his arrival could bolster their push in the Championship, while Monza see him as a valuable addition to their Serie B promotion campaign.

As the final days of the transfer window unfold, all eyes will be on whether either club can complete the move. For Amani, a fresh start now seems inevitable, with England and Italy the likeliest destinations for the next chapter of his career.
