The head coach of Morocco, Tarik Sektioui, is geared up ahead of the final of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The tactician was relieved on Tuesday after guiding Morocco to overcome Senegal on penalties to reach the final of the tournament.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Tarik Sektioui said he wants his side to make one final push to clinch the trophy to crown their efforts.
“It was a tough match against the defending champions, but the players showed composure in the key moments. We have fought hard to reach this stage, and now we want to win the trophy again,” coach Tarik Sektioui said after the win against Senegal.
On his part, the head coach of Senegal, Souleymane Diallo, expressed pride despite the defeat.
“This is a young generation writing its first chapter. They played with courage and discipline. Penalties are always cruel, but our future remains bright,” the coach said.
The final of the CHAN 2024 between Morocco and Madagascar will be played in Nairobi on Saturday at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani.
