German outfit Borussia Dortmund have stepped up their pursuit to sign English midfielder of Nigerian descent, Carney Chukwuemeka.
The Bundesliga giants are currently working on several key transfers, with three players topping their list.
The three includes Chukwuemeka as well as Aaron Anselmino, and Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Fábio Silva.
All three talents are eager to make the move to Signal Iduna Park, viewing Dortmund as the perfect environment to continue their development.
However, decisive transfer talks are expected to take place only after BVB’s away clash against St. Pauli this weekend.
Chukwuemeka, 21, is regarded as a highly promising midfielder capable of influencing matches even from the bench. Despite injuries hampering his progress in recent seasons, Dortmund’s hierarchy remain convinced he can be a long-term asset for the club.
Meanwhile, Fábio Silva has reportedly given a verbal agreement on a contract running until 2030. His versatility in attack, where he can operate as a central striker or in a two-man forward line, is particularly valued by Dortmund.
As for Anselmino, his transfer is closely linked to Chukwuemeka’s deal. The 20-year-old defender is determined to leave Chelsea in search of regular playing time.
