Chelsea have reportedly rejected Borussia Dortmund’s latest offer to sign English midfielder of Nigerian descent, Carney Chukwuemeka.
The 21-year-old joined Dortmund on loan in the winter of 2025 and, despite injury setbacks, has consistently impressed with his performances. His displays have convinced the Bundesliga side’s management to push for a permanent deal or at least secure another loan spell.
According to multiple media reports, Dortmund had been in talks with Chelsea over a loan deal that included an obligation to buy.
However, journalist Ben Jacobs reveals that Chelsea have turned down an offer worth over £15 million structured under those terms.
While Chukwuemeka is reportedly keen on a return to Dortmund, Chelsea appears unwilling to part with the England U21 international under the current proposal.
Following the decision by Chelsea to reject the offer, it is unclear if Dortmund will return with another offer.
Another possibility is that the Yellow and Blacks will look elsewhere for reinforcements.
