Premier League newcomers Sunderland are closing in on a move for England international of DR Congo descent Nordi Mukiele in the current transfer window.
The Black Cats, who secured promotion to the English top-flight last season are strengthening their squad in an attempt to make a meaningful impact in the 2025/26 season, which kick start this weekend.
With Mukiele agreeing personal terms with Sunderland, the Premier League outfit is expected to seal a move for the defender, who is in the books of Paris Saint Germain in the coming days.
The enterprising right-back is expected to travel to England for his medical as early as next week, with both Sunderland and PSG finalizing a move for the defender.
Mukiele joined PSG from German outfit RB Leipzig in 2022 for €12 million but failed to secure a regular starting spot, making just 45 appearances for the Parisians and providing 4 assists during his stint.
The defender’s current contract with Paris Saint Germain runs until 2027, with his market value estimated at €10 million.
