Chelsea reduce Nicolas Jackson’s asking price amid interest from Man United, Newcastle and AC Milan
Chelsea have significantly lowered their asking price for Nicolas Jackson, paving the way for the striker’s potential departure this summer, with three major clubs monitoring the situation closely.
The 24-year-old Senegal international appears to have lost his starting place at Stamford Bridge following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.
Jackson, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal last year, is now considered expendable by the club’s technical team, despite showing glimpses of promise during his first Premier League campaign.
According to talkSPORT, Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Italian giants AC Milan have all expressed interest in signing the forward.
Chelsea initially valued Jackson at £100 million, but the club is reportedly now willing to accept offers in the region of £80 million.
United and Newcastle are both pursuing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as their primary target, but whichever club fails to land the Slovenian may shift focus to Jackson as a strong alternative.
Although Chelsea are open to doing business, it remains to be seen whether any of the interested clubs are prepared to meet the reduced valuation, particularly given Jackson’s inconsistent debut season in England.
Nonetheless, the window remains open, and Jackson’s future could be one of the key talking points in the coming weeks.
