OGC Nice manager Franck Haise confirms Ivory Coast forward Evann Guessand’s imminent departure

OGC Nice manager Franck Haise has confirmed Evann Guessand’s imminent departure from the club ahead of the 2025/26 football campaign.

The 24-year-old attacker has been a subject of interest for several clubs in the ongoing summer transfer window following an outstanding performance for the French club last season.

Brighton and Hove Albion remain interested in Guessand, as well as a host of other Premier League sides.

Besides the Premier League teams, Saudi Pro League side Neom SC have recently expressed interest in the talented attacker.

Despite widespread interest, the forward has yet to secure a move in the ongoing transfer window.

However, manager Franck Haise expects Guessand to leave this summer. “As long as he is here, I consider him a player in the squad and we are working so that he can perform well, whilst knowing that there is a 90% chance of a departure,”

Guessand’s current contract with OGC Nice is expected to elapse in the summer of 2028.
