French-Congolese defender Stanley Nsoki completes loan move to FC Union Berlin

France-born defender of DR Congo descent, Stanley Nsoki, has completed his loan move to German outfit FC Union Berlin.

The German Bundesliga side announced the acquisition of the defender in an official statement on Thursday, July 24.

In the statement, Union Berlin said the new signing will be gradually integrated into the team.

“1. FC Union Berlin has loaned the French center-back Stanley Nsoki from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The 26-year-old left-footed player arrived on Wednesday evening at the training camp in Herzogenaurach. After a muscular injury, he is now being gradually rehabilitated and slowly integrated into the team,” the German club announced.

Reacting to his move to Union Berlin, Nsoki said he believes this is the right step for him at this stage of his career.

“The club have a clear identity, fight with heart and conviction, and that’s exactly what suits me. I feel the confidence here that I can contribute something with my style of play. For me, this is the right step to continue my development in a special environment and at the same time give everything for the success of the team,’ said centre-back Stanley Nsoki upon signing his contract,” the defender said as quoted on the Union Berlin website.
