OM is one of those legendary clubs that makes you dream, Mahrez said. Ever since I was little, I always wanted to play for Marseille. It was my dream. I was in love with OM.
He added, “All the players who have come through: Drogba, Niang, Nasri, Ribéry… My dream was to play at the Vélodrome in Ligue 1. My journey has been completely different…”
Mahrez, born in France, began his career in the lower leagues before catching the eye at Le Havre.
