Zamalek steps up pre-season plans with triple friendly in the Capital
Zamalek have mapped out their pre-season rhythm with a trio of friendly matches at their closed training camp in Egypt’s Administrative Capital.
The camp, part of the second phase of their preparations for the 2025-2026 campaign, offers the Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira a chance to assess his squad in real match conditions.
The White Knights are set to open their friendly run against Ra’a on Friday, July 18. The following day, they will return to the pitch to face Shams, providing back-to-back challenges early in the camp. The final test will come a week later when Zamalek go up against Wadi Degla on Friday, July 25.
The camp, which kicked off yesterday, gives Ferreira and his staff a full picture of the players’ form and fitness ahead of the new season. The environment offers both focus and tactical tuning, with the team expected to remain in camp until July 27.
The upcoming matches will help shape Zamalek’s game plan and readiness as they aim to bounce back strong and challenge for silverware in the coming season.
