Egyptian forward Mohamed Sherif has described Al Ahly as the football paradise in the country and in Africa.
According to the striker, Al Ahly is second to no other football club on the continent.
Mohamed Sherif, 29, spent time at Al Ahly from 2018 to 2023 before securing a transfer to Saudi Pro League outfit Al Khaleej.
He has returned to Al Ahly ahead of the 2025/26 football season and is expected to provide a major squad boost for the side.
Speaking in an interview, Mohamed Sherif said, “Without exaggeration, Al-Ahly is a football paradise in Egypt and Africa. It is different from any other club on all levels. It is the place that made my name, and it was only natural for me to return to it.
“I have many goals, and every day brings with it many challenges and ambitions to write history by winning titles and making the fans happy.”
