Egyptian giants Pyramids FC have reportedly rejected a transfer bid from Saudi Pro League outfit Al Fateh for their prolific forward Fiston Mayele.
The DR Congo international has emerged as a hot prospect following his instrumental role in guiding Pyramids to their historic 2024/25 CAF Champions League triumph — the club’s first-ever continental title.
Since joining the Cairo-based side, the Kinshasa-born striker has impressed with his consistency, racking up 39 goals and seven assists in 81 appearances across all competitions.
Despite Al Fateh’s interest, Pyramids FC have turned down the latest offer, which remains undisclosed in value. Reports also suggest that the 27-year-old forward is attracting attention from clubs in South Africa.
While the Egyptian club appears intent on keeping their talisman, sources close to Mayele indicate the player is keen on a move to Saudi Arabia, lured by the opportunity to test himself in one of the world’s fastest-growing leagues.
