Guinean international Aguibou Camara set for €4 million move to Samsunspor

Guinean international Aguibou Camara is on the verge of sealing a permanent transfer to Turkish Süper Lig side Samsunspor, with negotiations nearing completion between the club and Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad.

A source close to the player confirmed to Africafoot that talks between the two clubs are in an advanced stage, with a transfer fee of €4 million being discussed.

Although Camara’s current market valuation on Transfermarkt stands at €2.5 million, Samsunspor appear willing to meet Ludogorets’ higher asking price to secure the 23-year-old’s signature.

The attacking midfielder, who is under contract with the Bulgarian side until June 2027, is reportedly open to the move.

The opportunity to join a more competitive league and take on a new challenge has reportedly appealed to the player, who is keen to take the next step in his career.

Camara’s technical ability, creativity, and sharp bursts of pace have drawn the attention of several European clubs, but Samsunspor have emerged as frontrunners in the race for his services.

The Turkish club is aiming to reinforce its offensive unit ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, and sees Camara as a key piece of that puzzle.

The former Olympiacos player enjoyed a standout period in Greece before making his switch to Bulgaria, where he has continued to build a reputation as a dynamic and versatile attacking threat.

Despite interest from two major German clubs earlier this year, the Turkish outfit appears to be on the brink of securing what would be a significant coup.

While no official announcement has yet been made, both parties are understood to be close to finalising the terms, with a deal expected to be confirmed in the coming days.

If completed, the transfer would mark one of Samsunspor’s most ambitious moves in recent seasons, bringing in a young international talent with proven European pedigree.

For Camara, it would represent a new stage in a career that continues to rise, as he looks to further cement his place in the Guinean national team and make an impact in Turkey’s top flight.
