South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of former AFC Wimbledon midfielder in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Glamour Boys welcome the 26-year-old, an attacking midfielder known for his creative prowess. The Durban-born playmaker joins Kaizer Chiefs following a successful stint in England, where he played for AFC Wimbledon and, most recently, Port Vale FC.
During his spell in the European country, the enterprising midfielder scored 40 goals in 242 league appearances.
As earlier reported by AfricaSoccer.com, Chislett turned down numerous offers from several clubs including Orlando Pirates to sign a permanent deal with the Soweto giants as he marks a return to South Africa.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of 26-year-old Ethan Chislett, an attacking midfielder known for his creative abilities” wrote the club on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Known for his exploits in abroad, the midfielder is expected to play a huge role for the South African outfit, who are determined to make impact next season.
Kaizer Chiefs are bolstering their squad for the 2025/26 campaign in an attempt to compete for laurels. Despite ending their trophyless run, the Soweto giants missed out on the top eight in the South African top-flight, prompting swift squad augmentation for the new campaign.
