CAF launches online ticket sales for 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco

Online ticket sales for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) have officially begun, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed on Friday, paving the way for fans to secure their seats ahead of the tournament’s kickoff in Morocco next month.

In this initial phase, tickets are available exclusively to VISA cardholders via the WeBook.com platform, with discounted rates offered on Premium, Category 1, and Category 2 tickets.

This special window of access comes in collaboration with VISA, a long-term partner of CAF, and will run until Sunday, 29 June 2025, when general ticket sales are set to commence.

The 13th edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will run from July 5 to 26, and is expected to mark another significant milestone in the growth of women’s football on the continent.

The opening fixture will see hosts Morocco take on Zambia at the newly inaugurated Olympic Stadium in Rabat at 9:00 p.m. local time (8:00 p.m. GMT).

The match promises to set the tone for a tournament filled with energy and ambition, as the Atlas Lionesses look to inspire a home crowd in a state-of-the-art venue.

In total, five Moroccan cities will stage matches across the tournament—Rabat, Casablanca, Mohammedia, Berkane, and Oujda—each selected to reflect the expanding footprint of the women’s game in the country.

With twelve national teams participating, including heavyweights Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, and the host nation Morocco, the stage is set for a fiercely competitive event.

CAF has encouraged fans from across Africa and beyond to embrace the opportunity to witness the tournament live, with full schedules and ticket options now accessible online.

With anticipation building, supporters are being urged to secure their places early to avoid disappointment.

“Morocco has shown it is ready to host a tournament of the highest standards,” a CAF official stated. “From the quality of the venues to the enthusiasm of local fans, everything is in place for a celebration of women’s football.”

The 2024 WAFCON promises not only top-tier competition but also a platform to celebrate the rising profile of African women in sport, with the spotlight firmly set on Morocco this summer.
