Egyptian club Al Ittihad of Alexandria has confirmed the appointment of Ahmed Sami as the team’s technical director to spearhead preparations for the upcoming season.
This move is part of the club’s broader strategic plans as they aim to strengthen their squad and coaching setup.
The club’s board, led by Mohamed Ahmed Salama, also confirmed the assistant coaching staff lineup.
Ahmed Saeed “Oka” and Salah Amin will serve as coaches, Moamen Zakaria as assistant coach, Hassan Nasr as goalkeeper coach, and Mohamed Ayman Helal as performance analyst.
In a bid to reinforce the team’s goalkeeping department, Sami has expressed interest in signing Mahmoud Abdel-Rahim “Ghanesh,” formerly of Modern Sport, should contract renewal talks with current goalkeeper Mahdi Soliman fall through.
Additionally, Sami has requested the signing of Modern Sport striker Hossam Hassan to boost the team’s attacking options.
Hassan previously impressed under Sami’s guidance at Smouha, prompting the coach to pursue him for Al Ittihad.
