Tottenham prepare £65 million bid for Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a substantial offer in their bid to secure the services of Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian international has drawn widespread attention following an outstanding season on the south coast, where his combination of strength, pace, and clinical finishing helped propel Bournemouth to a ninth-place finish—one of their best in recent memory.

According to reports from Fichajes, Spurs are ready to table a bid in the region of £65 million as they seek to bolster their attacking options.

Semenyo, who joined Bournemouth a little over two years ago, has steadily developed into one of the most feared forwards outside the traditional Premier League elite.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with several top-flight clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.

Tottenham, however, appear to be leading the race, with the North London side eager to reinforce their front line following a campaign that fell short of silverware and exposed a lack of depth in attack.

Semenyo’s consistency and physical attributes have been central to Bournemouth’s success.

His ability to drive through defences and convert key opportunities has made him indispensable to Andoni Iraola’s side, but the Cherries may now face a difficult decision as interest in their star forward intensifies.

Tottenham’s pursuit of the Ghanaian comes at a time when Bournemouth have already seen departures and growing interest in other first-team players.

Young defender Dean Huijsen has exited the club, while Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly eyeing centre-back Illya Zabarnyi, further complicating the summer outlook for the south coast team.

While Bournemouth are under no immediate financial pressure to sell, a significant bid from Spurs could prove difficult to refuse.

The club’s recruitment model has often involved developing talent for resale at profit, and a £65 million deal for Semenyo would represent one of the most lucrative in their history.

As the summer transfer window unfolds, all eyes will be on Tottenham’s next move.

With pre-season preparations looming and ambitions to return to the Champions League, securing a proven Premier League scorer like Semenyo could be pivotal in their plans for a successful 2025–26 season.
