Mandjou Diallo Resigns as Fello Stars Coach After 11 Years
It’s the end of an era at Fello Stars de Labé. After 11 years in charge, Mandjou Diallo has officially resigned as head coach, following a poor start to the new league season.
The club, which finished fourth last season and boasts five Guinean league titles along with a national cup, currently sits bottom of the table with just one point from four matches (three losses, one draw). The disappointing form has pushed Diallo to step down.
“It was bound to happen one day,” said Diallo, who leaves behind a significant legacy at the club.
Beyond his domestic success, Mandjou Diallo is known for his past roles with the Syli National (senior and junior sides). Notably, he also guided Fello Stars to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2005—a rare achievement for a Guinean club.
Fello Stars will now begin the search for a new head coach, hoping to revive their campaign and climb out of the relegation zone.
