Dortmund deny Bayern Munich’s interest to sign Jamie Gittens
Borussia Dortmund have denied receiving an offer from Bayern Munich for the signing of talented youngster Jamie Gittens.
According to Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl, there has been no expression of interest from the Bundesliga champions.
“I’m not in contact with Max Eberl at the moment, but otherwise we have a very good relationship. Nevertheless, there’s nothing to say on the subject at the moment,” Kehl told Sky in an interview.
Jamie Gittens is a transfer target of several clubs in Europe this summer. Besides Bayern Munich, Chelsea are also keen on securing his services.
The English Premier League club reportedly wanted to sign the 20-year-old before the start of the Club World Cup, but Dortmund declined to accept the London club’s €55 million offer.
The Blues have not given up and continue to negotiate a deal for Gittens. Sources have indicated that talks are advancing steadily, and Dortmund could sanction the transfer of the forward after the Club World Cup.
