South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs have turned their attention to Slovakian striker Robert Polievka after missing out on DR Congo star Fiston Mayele.
The DR Congo star, who has been a long-term target for the South African outfit has reportedly switch to Mamelodi Sundowns, sparking numerous controversies in the country.
However, the Soweto giants has shifted their attention to Polievka as an alternative striker to augment their squad for the new campaign.
Kaizer Chiefs have intensified their search for a forward heading into the new season, with the Slovakian attacker emerging as a top priority.
Polievka was on the radar of Kaizer Chiefs back in 2020, but the transfer fell through due to a FIFA-imposed transfer ban.
Now, however, circumstances have changed, and the 29-year-old Polievka could well find himself in the Kaizer Chiefs squad.
Robert Polievka is a tall and powerful striker, capable of turning the tide of a match at any moment. That’s exactly what has caught the Chiefs management’s eye about the experienced MTK Budapest forward.
