Yassine Bounou,
is set to be a key figure for Al Hilal at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States this summer.The Moroccan goalkeeper headlines coach Simone Inzaghi’s official squad list, which includes a strong mix of local and international talent.
Bounou joined teammates, including Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly, at the club’s final training session before the squad travels to Washington, D.C. The session was held under Inzaghi’s watchful eye at the team’s home ground.
Al Hilal’s goalkeeping unit will feature Bounou alongside Ahmed Abu Rasin, Mohammed Al-Rubaie, and Al-Ghamdi. Defenders include Joao Cancelo, Renan Lodi, and Ali Al Blehi, while the midfield boasts Ruben Neves and Sergej Savic. Up front, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Malcom lead the attack.
The Saudi side is set to depart for the U.S. tomorrow afternoon to begin final preparations for the tournament, which runs from 14 June to 13 July.
Al Hilal will kick off their Group E campaign against European giants Real Madrid, with further matches lined up against Red Bull Salzburg and Pachuca.
