German attacker of Senegalese descent, Leroy Sane, will play for Bayern Munich at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup despite completing his move to Galatasaray.

Sane, 29, completed his move to Galatasaray on Thursday, ending a five-year stint with Bayern.

However, he remains contractually tied to the German champions until the end of June.

According to Sky Sports, Sane will play his final games for Bayern at the Club World Cup, as his contract with Galatasaray takes effect on July 1.

This agreement allows the winger to compete in the tournament in the United States before officially linking up with his new club.

After undergoing a successful medical and putting pen to paper, Sane is already en route to the U.S. and is expected to arrive in Orlando on Friday.

He will join Bayern’s squad in Florida following a special request from new head coach Vincent Kompany.

It is unclear how many matches Sane will play at the tournament for Bayern Munich.
