Marouane Chamakh Returns from Injury, Praises Coach’s Patience
Crystal Palace forward Marouane Chamakh made his return to Premier League action last weekend against Leicester City, ending a spell on the sidelines due to injury.
The 30-year-old Moroccan international expressed gratitude to his manager, Neil Warnock, for handling his recovery with care.
“I didn’t want to take any risks,” Chamakh explained. “Last year I suffered from the same injury, and when I came back, I had to be out again for two weeks. I worked hard during this month and I was happy to be back on Saturday.”
Chamakh’s return comes as a boost to Crystal Palace’s attack. During his absence, Warnock rotated options up front, but Chamakh welcomes the competition:
“Everyone works hard here, and I prefer it when there’s competition.”
His presence adds experience and versatility to Palace’s front line as they look to improve their league standing in the coming weeks.
