Bayern Munich prepares opening bid to sign Ivorian defender Ousmane Diomande
Bayern Munich are considering making an official bid to Sporting Lisbon to sign Ivorian defender Ousmane Diomande.
The German Bundesliga champions have been linked with a potential move to sign the attacker since the 2024/25 football season ended.
The club believes that securing the services of the 21-year-old defender will improve the defense of the team for the next football season.
Sporting Lisbon have placed a €60 million price tag (approximately £50.6 million or $68.4 million) on the player and are reportedly unwilling to enter negotiations below that figure.
Diomande, who is under contract with the Portuguese club until the summer of 2027, enjoyed an impressive 2024/25 season.
During that season, he made 46 competitive appearances, scoring twice and providing one assist.
His current market value is estimated at €45 million.
It is understood that Bayern Munich plan on making an official bid for the player in the coming days.
