Egyptian club Smouha SC unveil Ahmed Abdel Aziz as coach for 2025/26 season

Egyptian club Smouha SC have announced the appointment of Ahmed Abdel Aziz as coach for the 2025/26 football season.

The club confirmed the appointment with an official unveiling on Wednesday, June 4.

Ahmed Abdel Aziz steps into the role on a permanent basis after serving as interim coach following the departure of Ahmed Sami last season.

Smouha finished seventh in Group B of the league with 25 points and narrowly maintained their top-flight status.

The club’s board, led by chairman Farag Amer, has now entrusted Abdel Aziz with leading the team into a new campaign and aims to restore consistency and competitiveness.

Before joining Smouha’s technical bench, Abdel Aziz held coaching roles at Ceramica and Tala’ea El Gaish. He also served briefly as the interim coach of Tala’ea El Gaish, overseeing three matches during a transitional period.

Smouha announced the appointment via their official Facebook page, naming Abdel Aziz as the new technical director of the first team.

He must prepare a formidable side to compete in the Egyptian Premier League next season.
