Ghana coach Otto Addo names squad for 2025 Unity Cup; no Mohammed Kudus and Thomas Partey
The head coach of Ghana, Otto Addo, has named his squad for the 2025 Unity Cup in London.
In the new-look Black Stars squad released on Monday, May 26, the coach has excluded top stars Mohammed Kudus and Thomas Partey.
Additionally, in-form striker Antoine Semenyo, who bagged a brace for AFC Bournemouth on Sunday in the win against Leicester City, did not make the squad.
Another notable absentee from the Black Stars squad is Spain-based Inaki Williams.

Meanwhile, Coach Otto Addo has handed call-ups to five new players.
They include goalkeeper Joseph Tetteh Anang of St. Patrick’s Athletic in Ireland, Barcelona B’s Abdul Aziz Issah, Aaron Essel of North Texas SC, Caleb Yirenkyi of Danish side FC Nordsjælland, and Mohammed Gadafi Fuseini, who plays for Union St. Gilloise in Belgium.
All five players have shown promise in the past year and have earned their shot in the national team.
It is up to them to prove in camp and at the Unity Cup that they belong to the Black Stars.
The 2025 Unity Cup will feature Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, as well as Trinidad and Tobago.
At the tournament, Ghana will face Nigeria at the GTech Community Stadium in West London on Wednesday, May 28, for a place in the final on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
Before that game, Jamaica will also face off with Trinidad and Tobago and the first game of the tournament.
