Napoli pulls plug on Noah Okafor deal after quiet loan spell

Napoli have decided not to keep Noah Okafor after his short loan from Milan, opting out of a permanent transfer for the Swiss-Nigerian midfielder.

Okafor, who joined in the winter window, made just four appearances for Napoli and failed to register a goal or assist. Despite being seen as a possible spark in the second half of the season, his limited impact on the pitch led the club to move on.

The buy option in his loan deal was set at €23.5 million, but Napoli has chosen not to invest further in the 25-year-old. As a result, he is set to return to AC Milan when the loan ends.

Nicolo Schira, a reliable Italian transfer insider, confirmed the decision on social media, stating that Napoli will not trigger the purchase clause.

Okafor originally signed with Milan in July 2023 on a contract running until 2028. He made his Serie A debut in August and scored his first goal the following month in a 3–1 win over Cagliari.
