Jonathan Tah is closing in on a move to Bayern Munich after agreeing to a four-year contract with the Bundesliga giants.
The 28-year-old centre-back is poised to leave Bayer Leverkusen, with medical tests already scheduled ahead of the final agreement.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that personal terms have been reached between Tah and Bayern, marking a major step forward in the transfer.
“Jonathan Tah has reached an agreement with Bayern on personal terms,” Romano said. “The deal is progressing and Bayern will now contact Bayer Leverkusen to discuss the fee.”
The German international had previously attracted interest from Barcelona, but talks broke down earlier in the year. Now, Bayern are leading the race, aiming to bolster their backline ahead of the new season.
Romano added: “Medical tests are booked and the contract will be valid until June 2029. Here we go, confirmed.”
With the final stages of the deal underway, Tah’s arrival could add much-needed depth and experience to Bayern’s defence following recent departures.
