The Ghana U20 national team, the Black Satellites, are through to the quarter-final of the 2025 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The Satellites defeated the Central African Republic 1-0 in their final Group C game to finish top of the group.
In the game played at the Suez Canal Stadium, both teams put up a strong performance in both halves.
Although the Black Satellites dominated play in the first half and created the most chances, the team lacked the finishing to break the deadlock of the game.
It was more of the same in the second half, but the Ghanaian side pushed to find the back of the net in the 84th minute.
An equaliser by Joseph Opoku after he was set up by Joseph Aidoo earned the team all the three points at the end of the 90 minutes.
