Pyramids FC are in the process of filing an official request for a domestic league postponement ahead of their CAF Champions League final clash with Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Egyptian side will clash with the South African side for the coveted trophy, with both sides preparing for an exciting two-legged final.
Pyramids will travel to South Africa for the first leg on 24 May, with the return fixture set to be played in Egypt on 1 June.
However, a club official has raised concerns about the scheduling of their domestic fixture against Ceramica Cleopatra.
The league match is set for 28 May, falling between the two legs of the Champions League final against Sundowns.
Sporting Director of Pyramids FC, Hani Said, has confirmed that the club will submit an official request to the Professional Clubs Association to postpone the match against Ceramica Cleopatra, a side which includes South African star Fagrie Lakay.
“We will request a postponement of the Ceramica match due to its close timing with the CAF Champions League final,” he told On Sport FM Radio.
“It doesn’t make sense for us to play with such intensity while preparing for the most important match in the club’s history,” he added.
