Pyramids FC are pushing to reschedule their final Egyptian Premier League game against Ceramica Cleopatra, initially set for 28 May.
The club is prioritizing its CAF Champions League campaign, where they face Mamelodi Sundowns in a crucial two-legged semi-final.
Sporting director Hani Saeed confirmed that the team will travel to South Africa for the first leg on 24 May, then return to host the second leg on 1 June. With just three days separating those ties from the Ceramica clash, Saeed insists the timing is too tight for fair competition.
He also highlighted their ongoing appeal to overturn the League’s decision to cancel a three-point deduction from rivals Al Ahly. That decision could be pivotal in the title race, with Pyramids currently leading the table with 47 points, just one ahead of Al Ahly.
Saeed questioned scheduling fairness, noting Pyramids often play under the sun while rivals enjoy cooler evening matches. He stressed that their focus remains on the league title and brushed off transfer rumors involving Mohamed Al-Shibi and Ibrahim Adel.
