Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq is facing an uncertain future at Valencia ahead of the summer transfer window.
The forward is currently on loan at Valencia from fellow La Liga club Real Sociedad.
Sadiq was signed by Real Sociedad for €20m in August 2022 and became the club’s most expensive acquisition
Despite arriving with a huge expectation, the Nigerian has not been able to live up to the billing.
Having been loaned to Valencia, the striker had hoped to rediscover his old form, but things did not go as planned initially. Fortunately, things have picked up in recent games.
This season, Umar Sadiq has scored five goals after making 12 appearances. His form has now earned him admiration from the Valencia fans, with some pushing for the club to secure his permanent signing.
However, with interest from Saudi Arabia, the future of Sadiq at Valencia is uncertain heading into the summer transfer window.
Although Valencia are said to be willing to activate the purchase option of just under €10m before the deadline in July, they could be beaten by a superior offer from any of the interested clubs in Saudi Arabia.
