Zed FC has broken its silence over the future of defender Mostafa El Aash, who is currently on loan at Al Ahly.
Director of Football Walid Salah El-Din addressed the situation in a recent radio interview, confirming that El-Aash has received his U.S. visa and will represent Al Ahly in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in June.
While El-Aash’s loan does not include a purchase clause, Salah El-Din noted that any permanent move would be made jointly by both clubs.
He acknowledged that the defender’s absence has impacted Zed FC’s defense, especially with a string of injuries affecting the squad. The club is now searching for a suitable replacement ahead of the new season.
Salah El-Din also revealed that Zed had received major transfer offers—up to EGP 280 million—for some of their players, including from Al Ahly and Zamalek, but chose to hold on.
He emphasized the club’s commitment to youth development and financial prudence, noting that even top earners at the club make only EGP 7–8 million annually.
