Dayot Upamecano missing from Bayern Munich’s untouchables list ahead of summer window

French defender of Guinea-Bissau descent, Dayot Upamecano, is among players who could be sold by Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

The centre-back is currently missing from Bayern Munich’s list of untouchable players.

The nine players considered untouchable heading into the summer window include Manuel Neuer, Jonas Urbig, Josip Stanišić, Alphonso Davies, Aleksandar Pavlović, Joshua Kimmich, Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise and Harry Kane.

Although Bayern Munich want to extend the contract of Dayot Upamecano, the club does not want to pay too much in wages and bonuses.

Due to this, initial contract talks between the two parties have stalled. The defender is under contract with FC Bayern until summer 2026.

Already, Bayern Munich are said to be looking for other defensive options to improve the team.

The club believes Upamecano and other centre-backs in the team lack leadership qualities and have decided to go into the market to sign a player with such a profile.
