South Africa midfielder Jamie Webber has completed a mouthwatering move to USL Championship club, FC Tulsa.
The 27-year-old midfielder joins FC Tulsa on a permanent deal following an impressive performance for Sekhukhune United in the South African top-flight.
Despite not disclosing transfer details, it is estimated Tulsa splashed around 440,000 euros to secure the services of their long-term target.
Notably, the former Stellenbosch player has become the most expensive player in the USL Championship, where Tulsa competes, as his transfer value is estimated at one million euros.
“FC Tulsa made history on Friday, signing midfielder Jamie Webber from South African Premier Division side Sekhukhune United F.C. in one of the most high-profile incoming transfers in USL Championship history” wrote the club.
Recently, Webber represented South Africa in the African Nations Championship qualifiers, where he scored a spectacular long-range goal that helped equalize the match against Egypt.
In his last 25-match campaign with Sekhukhune, he scored four goals and has played 129 league matches.
