MC Alger has vowed to fiercely protect its interests as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) probes incidents following the club’s exit from the CAF Champions League.

The Algerian giants were knocked out after a tense 0-0 draw with Orlando Pirates in the quarter-final second leg, sparking controversy now under review.

On Friday, MC Alger acknowledged receiving a letter from CAF’s Disciplinary Committee about the post-match events. While keeping details under wraps, the club issued a strong statement rejecting violence and reaffirming its dedication to sportsmanship, integrity, and fair play values woven into its storied legacy.

“MC Alger did not disclose the content of the Disciplinary Committee’s letter, but simply expressed its complete rejection of all forms of violence and its constant commitment to the principles of sportsmanship, integrity, and fair play, which are at the core of the club’s values and long history,” the statement read.

The club pledged to defend its rights using every legal avenue, referencing official reports from the match, while promising full cooperation with CAF’s investigation.
