Ghana striker Jordan Ayew opens up on learning from ex-Black Stars captains Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew
Ghana striker, Jordan Ayew has opened up on congratulatory messages he received from former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew when he was named captain of the national team.
Speaking to BBC Sport Africa, the Leicester City forward noted that he is determined to pick things from both players.
“Andre and [I] are very close – he congratulated me and give me some advice. Asamoah [Gyan] as well. I’ve learned from the best – whether is Asamoah [or] Andre. I’ll try and pick up things from their qualities.
“I’ll keep on taking advices and things that made me grow to become who I am today,” Jordan Ayew said.
As captain of the Black Stars, Jordan Ayew is keen on ensuring unity in the Ghana national team.
On the field of play, he is determined to do his best to help the Black Stars return to their best not just on the continental but the global stage as well.
