Ghana’s Minister of Sport and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has expressed confidence in the Black Stars’ readiness to secure victories in their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

The four-time African champions, who missed out on qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), are regrouping for the first time this year with hopes of strengthening their bid for a place at the World Cup.

Speaking to 3Sports, Adams highlighted the importance of national support, urging Ghanaians to rally behind the team.

“I want to call on Ghanaians to support the team. I know we will win both matches,” he stated.

He further emphasized the players’ mental and physical readiness, expressing confidence in their ability to deliver positive results.

“The players are full of energy, well prepared, and psychologically, I believe they are ready for both matches. We are ready, and we will win,” Adams added.

Ghana will face Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, before traveling to Morocco to take on Madagascar on Monday, March 24.

The Black Stars opened their training camp in Accra on Monday, March 17, holding their first session at the Accra Sports Stadium as they fine-tune preparations.

Currently, Ghana is level on nine points with Comoros in Group I of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, making these upcoming fixtures crucial in their push for a spot at the global tournament.
