Sébastien Haller’s triumphant return to FC Utrecht reached a new high as he netted his third goal since rejoining the club.

In his seventh consecutive start, the 30-year-old striker found the back of the net during an away match against Willem II, contributing significantly to Utrecht’s 2-1 victory.

This win solidified Utrecht’s hold on third place in the Eredivisie, positioning them for a potential Champions League qualification next season a remarkable achievement that could influence Haller’s decision to remain in the Netherlands.

Haller’s journey back to Utrecht has been eventful. After a challenging stint at Borussia Dortmund, where he faced health issues and limited playing time, he was loaned to CD Leganés in August 2024. However, his time in Spain was unproductive, leading to an early termination of the loan in January 2025. Subsequently, Haller returned to Utrecht on loan, marking his second spell with the Dutch side.

Since his return to Utrecht, Haller has made seven appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists. His current market value is estimated at €20 million, reflecting his potential impact on the team’s aspirations.
