The Sporting Director at SSC Napoli, Giovanni Manna, has confirmed that there is a release clause in the contract of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
The Super Eagles’ goal machine, currently on loan at Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray, is one of the most sought-after strikers in the world heading into the summer transfer window.
Victor Osimhen, who had a falling out with the Italian Serie A club last summer, is expected to leave at the end of the season.
According to Manna, Napoli is working to find a solution to avoid losing Osimhen for pennies.
“It’s true that Victor Osimhen has a release clause into his contract.
“We’re working to find a solution as soon as possible to avoid a late transfer as happened last summer,” the Napoli sporting director told Sky.
Meanwhile, checks by Africasoccer have uncovered that the release clause of Victor Osimhen is currently set at €120 million.
However, if no club activates it by the end of June, it will drop to a figure in the €75 million to €80 million range.
