Paris Saint-Germain coach, Luis Enrique praised Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi, for his impressive performance in his side’s 3-2 win over the weekend.
PSG continued their dominance with said win against Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday evening at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
Hakimi scored twice to take his goal tally to four in all competitions for the side.
Speaking to DAZN, Enrique said, “I also speak Moroccan,” when asked about the secret to Hakimi’s attacking prowess on the pitch.
“What I can say is that when you go two goals up away from home, you have to slow down the game, but wait, I have Formula 1 cars that want to go forward and run at full speed.
“But if the full-back goes forward and doesn’t score, it’s possible that we concede, which is something we are constantly trying to improve,” he added.
Luis Enrique concluded his statements on this matter: “After going two goals up, we should have controlled the game more, we should have performed on the pitch with our head and not our heart.”
With Sunday’s win, Paris Saint-Germain moved 13 points clear at the top of the French league with 59 points, ahead of closest pursuers Marseille.
The former Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund full-back has been in outstanding form this season and will look to continue his strong performances when PSG faces Stade Briochin in the French Cup on Wednesday before hosting Lille in Ligue 1 at the Parc des Princes on Saturday.
