Spain forward of Moroccan roots, Lamine Yamal is a doubt for Barcelona’s clash against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, February 25.
The highly-rated teenager was in action for Barcelona over the weekend when the team defeated Las Palmas 2-0 in the Spanish La Liga.
In that game, the 17-year-old was subjected to very tough challenges that left his feet bleeding at the end of the match.
Today, Lamine Yamal could not train with his Barcelona teammates during their training session.
Checks have revealed that it is a result of a foot injury he sustained during the victory against Las Palmas.
Yamal is expected to undergo some tests and scans later in the day to ascertain the extent of the foot injury.
The club is hoping that Yamal will overcome the injury to feature in the game against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
Tomorrow’s game is the first leg of the highly-anticipated semi-final tie in the Copa del Rey.
