German giants, Bayern Munich have stopped their pursuit of Canadian attacker Jonathan David.
The Germans in the past year have been linked with a move to secure the services of the talented OSC Lille forward.
Bayern Munich had hoped to sign the highly-rated attacker next summer when the contract of Jonathan David expires at the end of the 2024/25 football season.
This season, David has scored 12 goals and provided three assists after making 20 appearances in the French Ligue 1.
While Bayern Munich have pulled out of the race to sign the attacker, other clubs are believed to be tracking the player.
He is expected to receive offers from other clubs who will be looking to strengthen their squad for the next football season.
Checks have revealed that OSC Lille will also consider talks to extend the contract of Jonathan David.
It is understood that David enjoys playing in the French Ligue 1 and is also open to agreeing to a deal with Lille.
