Ademola Lookman’s goal not enough as Atalanta crashes out of Uefa Champions League

GkGWb6GWIAALxBH

Nigerian forward, Ademola Lookman was on target for Atalanta on Tuesday night but it was not enough to save the side from a defeat to Club Brugge in the Uefa Champions League.

The talented forward featured for his team at home in hopes of overturning a 2-1 defeat from the first half.

Unfortunately, it was not meant to be for Atalanta as an impressive performance from Club Brugge blew away the hosts.

The visiting team equalised first in the 3rd minute thanks to a strike from Chemsdine Talbi.

Other first-half goals from Chemsdine Talbi and Ferran Jutgla gave Club Brugge a 3-0 lead at halftime and a massive advantage in the tie.

Although Ademola Lookman would equalize in the 46th minute, it was not enough to save the side from a 3-1 defeat at full-time.

The Nigerian also had the chance to score a second in the 61st minute but his poor effort was saved.

With Atalanta losing the tie 5-2, it is the end of the road for Lookman and his teammates.
