Ghanaian forward Francis Amuzu has expressed his deep appreciation for RSC Anderlecht, vowing to cherish the memories he created with the club as he embarks on a new journey with Brazilian side Grêmio.

In an emotional Instagram post following his transfer, the attacker reflected on his decade-long association with the Belgian club and the support he received from fans.

“I want to take a moment to thank the incredible team that made me who I am today and the fans for all the love no matter what. These 10 years have been where it all started for me, and I will always cherish the memories we created together. I will carry the spirit of Anderlecht in my heart forever. Once a mauve, always a mauve,” he shared.

Grêmio officially announced Francis Amuzu’s signing on Monday, February 10, confirming that the 25-year-old winger has signed a contract until the end of 2026.

“Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense announces the signing of striker Francis Amuzu, 25 years old. The Ghanaian naturalized Belgian played for Anderlecht, Belgium, during his career. The athlete passed the medical exams and signed a permanent contract for two seasons – until the end of 2026.

“Francis is considered a versatile striker, with great speed and physical ability. The date and time of the athlete’s official presentation will be announced in the coming days,” the club stated.

The forward is now upbeat and looking forward to the new chapter of his career in Brazil.
