Mobi Oparaku, a former Nigerian international, has advised Victor Osimhen to contemplate a move to Saudi Arabia instead of pursuing options with Chelsea or Manchester United when he departs Galatasaray this summer.
Osimhen’s current stint in Turkey started after leaving Napoli on loan, as he found himself out of favor with coach Antonio Conte.
Despite a near transfer to Chelsea on deadline day, the deal ultimately fell apart. However, the London club is anticipated to renew their interest in Osimhen as the summer transfer window approaches.
Competition for the talented striker is fierce, with Juventus also eyeing a potential acquisition, alongside long-standing admirers like PSG, Manchester United, and Liverpool.
Oparaku predicts another intense transfer saga surrounding Osimhen come the end of the 2024-25 season.
While a transfer to a prestigious European club might enhance Osimhen’s reputation, Oparaku emphasizes that Saudi Arabia offers a more secure financial future, promising generational wealth.
“I see kindergarten players making big moves, and Osimhen was denied that opportunity to choose,” Oparaku told Brila FM.
“Personally, I would have carried Osimhen on a plane to Saudi. If he was my brother, I’d have kidnapped him if necessary.”
