Manchester United plot loan swoop for Christopher Nkunku
Manchester United are actively exploring a loan deal to bring Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku to Old Trafford before the January transfer deadline, per Sky journalist Dharmesh Sheth.
The French attacking midfielder, 27, has long been on the Red Devils’ radar, and discussions surrounding his availability have reignited as United look to bolster their creative options.
Reports from Sky Germany suggest that a potential swap involving United’s rising star Alejandro Garnacho was floated but appears unlikely as United’s preference leans toward a temporary deal for the PSG academy graduate. A permanent transfer for Nkunku remains challenging, making the loan route a more practical option.
Meanwhile, Chelsea maintain their interest in Garnacho. The 20-year-old Argentine winger has been linked with a Stamford Bridge switch this winter, though it’s expected any negotiations regarding Garnacho would occur independently of Nkunku’s potential move.
As the clock ticks down on the transfer window, all eyes are on whether United can secure Nkunku’s services to enhance their attacking firepower.
