Sylla, a €20 million signing from Club Brugge in 2023, has struggled for minutes this season under head coach Liam Rosenior, who prefers the Mamadou Sarr-Ismaël Doukouré defensive duo. With Sarr likely staying at Strasbourg despite Chelsea’s interest, Sylla’s lack of game time could work in Nantes’ favor.
Foot Mercato reports that Nantes are exploring the possibility of securing Sylla on a six-month loan deal. The move could offer the Ivorian international a chance to rediscover his form and provide much-needed cover for Nantes’ depleted defense.
