Egypt’s beach soccer team will begin their qualification campaign for the Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations with an away match against Angola on Sunday, 11 October.
The squad will travel to Angola for the first leg, with Samanoud player Hossam Paulo included among the 14 selected players.
Paulo is the most prominent name in the Egypt squad. He won the Egyptian Premier League top-scorer award in two consecutive seasons, in 2014-15 and 2015-16.
The forward has also played for El Dakhleya, Smouha and Zamalek during his career.
Egypt’s squad for the tie is:
Goalkeepers: Abdel Aziz Sabah, Mohamed El Sayed
Outfield players: Mostafa Ahmed, Mostafa Sasa, Haitham Mohamed Atef, Hassan Mohamed Hassan, Abdelrahman Hassan El Shafey, Ahmed El Shahat, Karim Sayed, Mohamed Abdelnabi, Ahmed Hassan, Ismail Bahgat, Hossam Paulo and Abdel Rahman Reiha.
The return match will be played in Alexandria on Sunday, 18 October.
The Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations will take place in Senegal from 21 to 29 November 2026.
The tournament will also determine the two African teams that qualify for the 2027 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Brazil.
