Former Arsenal midfielder Adrian Clarke has endorsed Ghana international Mohammed Kudus as the perfect candidate to fill the void left by injured winger Bukayo Saka.
Clarke, now a respected football pundit, believes Kudus possesses the qualities to step up in Arsenal’s attack and contribute significantly.
Saka, a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s setup, is set to miss an extended part of the season due to injury, prompting the Gunners to explore potential reinforcements in the January transfer window.
Mohammed Kudus, currently impressing at West Ham, has emerged as a potential target for Arsenal, with Clarke urging the club to act decisively.
“Kudus is a player Arsenal have shown long-term interest in. He’s an ideal replacement for Bukayo Saka and can contribute up front as well,” Clarke told talkSPORT.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian playmaker has caught the eye with his versatility and creativity. While primarily operating as an attacking midfielder, Kudus is also effective on the wing and has showcased his goal-scoring ability.
Since joining West Ham, Kudus has made a notable impact in the Premier League, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 13 appearances.
However, Arsenal may face stiff competition for Kudus’ signature, with Liverpool and Manchester City reportedly monitoring his progress.
